The Mirror project is part of an international architecture competition for a movie pavilion proposal in Iceland. The pavilion is a singular object placed in the landscape. In fact, instead of trying to hide it the idea was to let it be anchored as a plain volume in its environment. The building consists of two intersecting cubes. One is transparent, fully glazed on the four facades and the other one, embedded inside is a mirror box reflecting the landscape through the curtain glass wall.
The project looks like it's hovering, suspended in space and time, like an ephemeral ship that takes us beyond reality during the movie screening.
